Badass Action in Mind and Body is the Journey

Why the Warrior?

The greatest fight you will ever have is inside your own head. Mindset is key. Yet we act in an outside world to seek opportunities, adventure, comrades-in-arms and a fulfilling and authentic life. At the same time, we inspire and find great inspiration in films that are Epic like "Gladiator" or dangerous like "The Great Raid" or "Saving Private Ryan".

This section is about Badassery in real life and in films so you might find Martial Arts, Movies, Fool Stunts and more. Oh, weapons and World War II.

Creating Your Why - Definition

Starting with your ”Why” triggers powerful components of the brain, especially the limbic system.  The Limbic system supports a variety of functions including emotion, behavior and  long-term memory.  Emotional life originates in the limbic system, and it critically aids the formation of memories.

A good salesman knows that people make many decisions with their emotions - and then justify those decisions with closing logic.  With a strong ”Why”, you engage the Limbic System - together with its emotions like enthusiasm, courage and more.

”What” and ”How” are emotionless elements far more factual and methodical.

Let’s remember Great Leaders for a moment.  When considering stirring Leaders like George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King or Nelson Mandela, we can immediately recognize their inspiring ”Why” strengths.

Martin Luther King did not say ”I have a plan” or ”I have a method”.  He inspired millions with ”I have a dream.”  A very strong, well-articulated Why.

You may not be a national or international leader for Freedom or Justice.

But you are a Leader of your own Life by Design.

And when you lead yourself, then you need a powerful ”Why”.

ASSIGNMENT:

What activity or goal or direction wakes you up early in the morning filled with enthusiasm?

What action and activity causes you to have ‘flow’ whereby time passes quickly because you so enjoy the activity?

What do you do in your off-time (outside work) because you so enjoy this activity?

Just Write to Brainstorm (we cover ‘Brainstorming the How’ in future videos). DO NOT EDIT YOURSELF by saying “That’s idea is crazy.” “Oh, that costs too much.” “Nobody will help me.” These are just your negative Inner Roommate Thoughts.

Writing. Physical Training. Public Speaking. Filmmaking. Science. Whatever cultivates your Enthusiasm.

The Key is Where You WANT to spend your time. Once you identify this activity, then write down 100 Ways - yep I said a hundred! - in which you could create financial living around Your Powerful Why. '
