Filmmaking

Filmmaking here with articles, tech, story and other stuff to learn, inspire and maybe piss you off as in "Why didn't I know that before!" Believe me, happens to me all day long. Always more to learn and strategize for greater success and Joy in this amazing filmmaking world. I enjoy action films but really good ones in what I like to call "Arthouse Action" which are films like "Die Hard", "Enemy of the State" and others with quick witted words coupled with quicker action. But make no mistake I prize and enjoy the Art of Cinema in many genres and eras.

FILM: "A BRIDGE TOO FAR" - TRIV

One of my favorite films about World War II with genuinely great actors (as compared to most of today's poseurs) who could really carry a scene.

The desperate gamble of Montgomery was a fool's errand, crushing the British 1st Airborne.

"Historians have been critical of the planning and execution of Operation Market Garden. Antony Beevor said that Market Garden "was a bad plan right from the start and right from the top".[23][24][25]"

Interesting facts here about the film and what they had to go through logistically to get all the tanks, planes, etc. This is a film with actual vehicles and not digital recreations.
