I work in Film. I live in Martial Arts. I thrive in Imagination.

WHY I LIKE THIS VIDEO: Kurosawa was a master filmmaker, relying on image to convey his emotions. How he captures emotions with this imagery is conceptually brilliant. I could watch this video a hundred times and always learn more.

Creating Your Powerful Why: Mapping

October 30, 20231 min read

ASSIGNMENT:

Using your notebook, write in the topic right corner: "YOUR NAME - My Why"

Here's where you should not edit, but write.  Don't think but get all your possible ideas out of your gut and heart (past that darn 'logical' head) and onto the page.  Your logical brain will say 'that's not possible' nor 'reasonable' nor 'smart'.  Forget the logical brain.

Work with your HEART, your dreams, your 'Bigger than you can have right now' Ideas.  You might let these thoughts percolate for a few days.  Redo your vision. Add pages.  Connect thoughts with a highlighter.  YOU make up YOUR own Rules for this answer because you are creating your own Life by Design.

Dream BIG. Dream BIGGER. Create FASTER than you think!

INSPIRATION:

Use your grid notebook for Mindmapping.  We will cover more of this later but essentially drawing, doodling and more for ideas, thoughts, crazy ideas, crazy thoughts.

Did You Know...

... if you improve 1/2% each day, then you will be 267% better over one year? Who can compete with that?

Setting Yourself Up for Success usually doesn't mean one big jump but rather incremental change day after day. Think of it like a ocean wave, moving far out in the Pacific with almost an undetectable push...finally with the power and grace of an ocean wave onto the beach. Create your own metaphor to embrace small habits with a huge future impact.
